Director Nabil Elderkin profiles Abraham “Abramz” Tekya in the film “Bouncing Cats”, the true story of the Ugandan man that found away to change the lives of the children in his community through hip-hop. Narrated by Common and featuring interviews with Mos Def, Will-I-Am and K’Naan.
In support of the non-profit organization GulfAid, Mos Def, Lenny Kravitz, and a cast of other talented musicians such as the Preservation Hall Band & Trombone Shorty, along with actor Tim Robbins came together to record the track, “It Aint My Fault”. GulfAid is dedicated to stopping the recent oil spill, in the Gulf of Mexico from destroying our wetlands and to providing financial aid to affected fishermen and their families.

Upon hearing this I usually run down a list of names of new artists and even old artists with new albums and ask if they’ve heard of’em. Nope! These people have no idea.
